Queensland's state coroner has ruled the death of an Iranian asylum seeker from an infection was preventable.

Queensland's state coroner has ruled the death of an Iranian asylum seeker from an infection was preventable.

Hamid Khazaei after an ulcer on his left leg became infected at the Manus Island detention centre.

He suffered multiple cardiac arrests before being evacuated to the Brisbane hospital, where he was pronounced brain dead.
