News bulletin of the day

Northern Territory police have responded to a major incident at the Don Dale Youth Detention Centre in Darwin.

At least 15 police cars, including tactical response vehicles, were called to the centre just before 7:00pm last night.

The center received national attention in 2016 when the ABC aired a report showing camera footage of the abuse of youths, prompting a royal commission into juvenile detention in the NT.
