Home Affairs Minister Peter Dutton has visited one of the Sri Lankan churches bombed in the Easter Sunday attacks.

Mr Dutton met church officials in St Sebastian's Church in Negombo, one of the three churches that were attacked on the 21st of April, leaving more than 250 people dead.

He says Australia is a long-standing friend of Sri Lanka.
