Prime Minister Scott Morrison has defended the Federal Government’s offshore immigration-detention program.
The comments come as refugee and asylum-seeker advocacy groups call on the Government to discuss the issue at a meeting of Pacific leaders this week.
Mr Morrison says stopping the boats and sending refugees and asylum seekers to offshore-detention centers were difficult but necessary decisions and he continues to support the decisions.
