The My Arab Identity podcast is back for a second season, following on from the award-winning first season. The second instalment of this podcast highlights some of the challenges that second-generation Arab migrants face due to their mixed and intercultural identities in Australia and the things they did to overcome them.

This touches on topics that are often viewed as taboos in the community and delves into themes revolving around religion, sexuality, feminism, cultural upbringing, and other sensitive areas through real-life stories.

Over six episodes, Maram Ismail speaks to individuals who have stepped up in the face of social stigma and challenged the traditions that diminish their sense of self and belonging.
Find out about the struggles they lived through, how it shaped them and how their traditional Arabic community responded - for some, it was acceptance, for others, resistance.
