Bangladesh wins first medal in Gold Coast Commonwealth Games

Abdullah Hel Baki has won Bangladesh its first medal at the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games by taking silver in the 10m Air Rifle final. He narrowly missed out on the gold medal. Baki scored 244.7 on Sunday at the Belmont Shooting Centre in Australia.

Baki had placed sixth in the qualifying round to earn a spot in the final. His score was just 0.3 less than Australian Dane Sampson, who scored 245 to ensure the gold medal. Indian Ravi Kumar bagged bronze medal with a score of 224.1. 

Baki had also achieved silver medal in 2014 Glasgow Commonwealth Games.
