Jagannath Hall Tragedy Day remembers in Sydney

Bangladeshi expatriate in Sydney remembers the mourning day of October 15, popularly known Jagannath Hall tragedy day.

The day is observed every year to pay homage to the memory of the students of Dhaka University, employees and guests, who were killed in a tragic accident in Jagannath Hall on the fateful night of 15 October 1985.

On that night, the roof of the dilapidated building of the Jagannath Hall TV room collapsed, leaving 40 students, guests and employees of the university dead and hundreds of others injured.
