By the initiative of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) and the Indian High Commission in Canberra, ACT Ms Mitali Mukherjee along with some other journalists has recently come to Australia for a Media Visit. As Markets and News Editor at CNBC TV18, one of India’s premier business channels, Ms Mukherjee has anchored flagship equity market shows like Baazar on CNBD TV18 for a decade.


News Editor of India's CNBC TV18, Ms Mitali Mukherjee was born in a Bengali family of Kolkata. Her father was working with the Indian Army. So she lived in different places in India. She knows several Indian languages, including English, Bengali and Hindi.

As Markets and News Editor at CNBC TV18, one of India’s premier business channels, Ms Mitali Mukherjee has anchored flagship equity market shows like Baazar on CNBC TV18 for a decade.

Ms Mukherjee covers business for ‘editor ji’, a video news app which is part of the start-up Editorji Technologies, founded by former CEO of NDTV and news anchor Vikram Chanda to help tackle the spread of fake news.

Ms Mukherjee is also part of the Australia India Youth Dialogue network.
