Passing down the culture of lion dance: The story of an Australian father and daughter’s dedication

The Australian Tommy Tong’s Lion Dance Team was founded by Tommy Tong in 1986. For decades, it has been dedicated to promoting and preserving Chinese culture. His daughter, Angela Tong, grew up immersed in this tradition, starting with cymbals at age seven, moving on to lion head dancing at 10, and not stopping eversince. Under her father’s guidance, Angela is gradually taking on the mission of cultural preservation, showcasing her passion and sense of responsibility for lion dance culture.
