"I'm home; I have not been summoned to any meeting by the President or arrested as alleged by media........When peace was signed in 2005, I told both President Kiir and Dr John Garang that the war is done and it is time for me to go to civilian life and to be a farmer. They refused to let me go...I have wanted to resign as Minister, but my closest people advised me not to do so. When I was appointed as the Presidential Advisor, I was not consulted. I approached the office to learn much about my new role, but there was no answer. Maybe President Kiir was being generous enough to find ways to keep supporting my upkeep but not to be engaged in official duties. I have not advised the President in any way on this status."
