New figures reveal that the Filipino population in Australia has increased from 193,000 in 2011 to 310,000 in 2021.

People born in the Philippines are the fifth largest group, with England continuing to be the largest group, according to the new data released by the Australian Bureau of Statistics.

Fifth fastest-growing cultural group

There has been a signficant increase in communities from Nepal, India, Pakistan, Iraq and the Philippines.

Excluding Australia, the Philippines ranks as the fifth fastest-growing culturally and linguistically diverse community in the country.
