The Australian Embassy celebrates Australia day in Manila by holding a reception at a hotel in Makati City, Philippines with around 900 guests in attendance.


According to Elodie Journet, senior investment counsellor of the Australian embassy in Manila, mateship and resilience are characteristics possessed by Filipinos and Australians.

She adds that the strong diplomatic relationship of the two countries is a reflection of such characteristic.

Around 900 guests were in attendance.
