Monday, August 6 in Geneva, Switzerland, according to Le Figaro, the famous starred chef died of cancer at the age of 73 years.

It was the most famous French chef and the most starred in the world.

Government spokesman Benjamin Griveaux said on Twitter, "Joel Robuchon, visionary leader and the most starred in the world is leaving us today. From Paris to Shanghai, his expertise in art has shone in French gastronomy and will continue to inspire the younger generation of chefs ".

This is the story of a remarkable journey: in 1976, he was crowned "best worker of France", in 1987 "chef of the year", then in 1990 "cook of the century" and he had acquired the most Michelin stars, 24 in all.

Joël Robuchon was respected and recognised for his rigor, his passion, he fascinated by his innovative ideas in the preparation of dishes as concepts, as he who invented "L'Atelier".

At 73, the great French chef died of cancer, he hid his illness as long as possible to the public.
