Archbishop Mr. Makarios visited the NSW Parliament and met with Premier Gladys Berejiklian

The primate of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese in Australia, Mr Makarios visited the NSW Parliament on Thursday where he was welcomed by Premier, Gladys Berejiklian.


During the discussion that took place, His Eminence had the opportunity to elaborate on the challenges and needs the Greek-Australian community faces and to exchange views on the COVID-19 pandemic and the efforts to combat it.

According to a press release by the Archdiocese, the Premier congratulated Mr. Makarios for the responsible stance by the Archdiocese this tough period with the pandemic and for the general cooperation that the Archdiocese has with the state authorities.
