As children around the world, stay away from the grandparents while quarantined, Daniel Koch, Switzerland's infectious disease chief, note that children under the age of 10 it's OK to hug their grandparents.

“Young children are not infected and do not transmit the virus,” Koch said in a press conference.

A top World Health Organization official says the U.N. health agency is looking into whether grandparents can safely hug their grandchildren without risk of contracting the coronavirus.

“I’m sure many grandparents around the world are dying to hug their grandchildren,” Maria van Kerkhove, a World Health Organisation technical lead, said during a WHO press conference on April 29.
