Did you know that mushrooms are a natural source of vitamin D and vegetable protein? At the same time they have very low calories, which makes them ideal for any type of healthy diet.


Both in nature and in shops there are dozens of types of mushrooms, which can play a major or accompanying role in our diet. Of course it is good to avoid eating wild mushrooms, unless we know very well their types and properties.

Commercially available mushrooms are rich in vitamin D, which they can continue to produce even when cut or packaged. At the same time they have a large amount of vegetable protein, without having many calories. They are ideal for any type of healthy diet, as nutritionist Dimitra Papamichou explains.
