The first conclusive archaeological evidence of insects as a food source in Australia has been discovered.


Traditional owners and archaeologists worked together to uncover a significant grindstone, recovering an important part of Indigenous history.

In an archaeological world first, physical evidence has been discovered that a certain insect long ago formed part of Indigenous Australians' diets.
