Reconciliation, sovereignty, Russia and China among the main points in Penny Wongs address at the UN Assembly

Australia's Foreign Affairs Minister started her first address to the UN General Assembly by emphasising the multicultural make up of Australia.


Penny Wong then moved to reconciliation with Australia's First Nations People stressing the presence of senator Patrick Dawson at the 77th General Assembly.

On Russia's invasion of Ukraine Ms Wong said that it was "illegal and immoral" and called on Chine to exercise influence on the Russian leadership to end the war.
