The flower in the Sea is a timeless tale of love and loss by Alexandros Papadiamantis. Narrated by Dina Gerolymou.

A fisherman for many nights would see a light in the sea, in between two isles not far from the port. Intrigued, he confided in his friend and the two of them set at night to find the answer to the mysterious light. They are seen by an old man who lives by the shore and he tells them the story of a beautiful girl who used to live in the village with her father, a beast-slayer, and a prince who promised to marry her on Christmas Day. How are all these tied in with the light in the sea? Press play on the image to hear the answer.
