Monica (last name not known), was in for a shock when she alongwith all the other passengers were informed that Air India had left behind their luggage in India.

An Air India flight, AI 191 – New Delhi to Newark, US took off carrying 277 passengers but left behind luggage of all the passengers on December 16th.

Monica told , "I boarded the flight from New Delhi and I think the luggage was loaded as well. We had a stopover at Mumbai, and that's where the luggage was left behind."

She also said that the airlines informed the passengers that they will take at least four to five days to bring the luggage to New York.

Air India in a tweet claimed that the goof up happened due to ‘change in wind patterns’.
The Air India flight took off from New Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport for New York's Newark Liberty International Airport with a stop over in Mumbai.

The stranded passengers took to twitter to vent their anger.
The bags finally reached USA on December 22nd.
