A Victorian father has been jailed for 22 years for committing horrific sexual crimes.
A 49-year-old father, who cannot be named, brought twin daughters to Australia after paying an overseas surrogate. He started sexually abusing his twin daughters when they were one month old, filmed himself while doing this and shared these videos with other paedophiles, a court has heard.
The court also heard that the man had abused his nieces for four years before he brought twin daughters to Australia.
The court learnt that he began abusing his nieces when they were four and six and the girls were drugged before he engaged in sexual acts with them. He also filmed his acts with his nieces.
The court was told the man shared the sexual child exploitation content online masquerading as a woman.
He pleaded guilty to 37 charges including 20 counts of incest and two of child trafficking, reported.
In sentencing, Victorian County Court Judge Susan Cohen said “You deliberately entered into an agreement whereby your own children would be born and brought to Australia [for sexual exploitation]," Judge Cohen said.
"As newborns they could not have been more vulnerable or dependent upon you."
Judge Cohen said the man had expressed relief after police raided his house in which they found 26,343 child exploitation films and images, many of which he had produced.
The man had expressed sadness following his arrest.
He told police: "I love them so much. I don't know why I did it."
