Early Friday morning, a truck driver in Sydney blocked the motorway because he could not reverse the giant truck.

Turns out it was an Indian driver, brought in on 457 visa, who did not know how to reverse the giant B-double truck.

Motorists suffered major delays as the RMS Inspector himself had to jump in to reverse the truck and clear the motorway.

Channel 7 reported that the truck driver was Gary Singh, who drove the truck operated by transport company Scotts of Mount Gambier.
While driving the truck, Gary feared his double-trailer was too high to enter the airport tunnel. So he abruptly pulled on the side-lanes. But later on, he could not move out of the way because he did not know how to reverse.
Channel 7 also reported that the drivers were in the country on controversial 457 Visas — Australian bosses use the visa to sponsor skilled overseas workers to temporarily plug gaps when skill shortages hit a particular industry. But long distance truck driving is not on the 457 Visa list.
