Spectacle of oldest Durga Puja in Australia

Australian-Indians are celebrating Durga Puja across the country. Many cities had their annual Durga Puja celebrations over the weekend. SBS Hindi brings you the glimpses from the oldest Durga Puja in Australia.

Bangla New South Wales is the oldest Indian association in Australia, and so are its Pujo celebrations. BNSW was established in 1975 and Pooja was started the same year. Now it is one of the largest celebrations of an Indian festival.

The president of BNSW Bobby Mallick says over 2000 people attend this festival. They cook, distribute, eat, dance, sing and play together throughout three days.
