WATCH: Manmeet Alisher’s last rites performed in India

Manmeet Alisher, a beloved member of the Indian community in Australia, was killed in a barbaric way when an incendiary device was thrown on him, burning him to death immediately in Australia.

Slain bus driver and a beloved member of the Indian Australian community, Manmeet Alisher’s mortal remains reached his native village, Sangrur in Punjab on Friday morning.

Hundreds gathered to pay their last respects to Manmeet who was known for his singing talent and had worked hard as an immigrant in Australia.

Almost whole village gathered at his humble house in the village on Friday morning before his last rites took place.
Earlier today, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal reached New Delhi airport to pay his last respects to Manmeet Alisher, who was a known AAP volunteer.
