92-year-old Joseph Aloysious de Souza gets recognised for community service in King's Birthday Honours List

Joseph Aloysius de Souza, 92, has spent more than five decades working for the benefits of physically and mentally handicapped people. The Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) was awarded to him at this year's King's Birthday Honours for his service to the community. As an immigrant, he shares how his service is a way of repaying the country that welcomed him.

Joseph de Souza was also titled Greater Dandenong Citizen of the Year 2023.
