Dandenong's Little India traders demand clarity, fear losing shops under state development project

The multi-million dollar Revitalising Central Dandenong, an urban renewal project, is designed to modernise the area and establish a new Little India precinct in one of Melbourne's most diverse neighbourhoods. However, local Indian traders have recently united in protest, citing a "lack of communication" from the government and raising multiple questions they feel are still "unanswered". To shed light on the issue, SBS Hindi spoke with Sudesh Singh, spokesperson for the Little India Traders, and Gabrielle Williams, the Member of Parliament for Dandenong, also provided her perspective.
