29-year-old Anish Soni and his friends were attacked by armed thugs at his home in St. Albans on Friday night.

Soni and his friends were home when 10 masked men entered their home and attacked them.

“They asked me to lie down on the floor and hit me with the butt of their pistol,” said Soni’s friend to 7News.

“They kept on hitting Anish and afterwards they tied us with a plastic tape.”

The thugs broke Anish’s bones leaving him bloodied and scouring for his life after they left.

With no phones, his friends had to drive him to a friend’s house and then call triple zero for help.

Anish was then rushed to the hospital where he underwent blood transfusion. He is now out of Intensive Care Unit.

“I think I was going to die. I would not see my family again,” Soni said from his hospital bed to 7News.
Forensic Police has taken several fingerprints from the house and found weapons.

It is yet to be determined if it was a targeted attack or a random act of violence.
