Part 1 of the life story of the journalist who writes column "Italians, good people" for newspaper La Fiamma.

Born in March 1933, Pietro Schirru lived Mussolini's Italy's difficult childhood in Rome, sharing a house in the centre, behind Via Arenula, together with five brothers and an older sister. A period marked by rationed food, bombings and fear of Nazi raids. But above all a particularly loving mother.
