Regional Development Australia Orana and the Australian Government have reached agreement on the Orana Region Designated Area Migration Agreement (DAMA), which was approved by Minister for Immigration, Citizenship and Multicultural Affairs, David Coleman, in April 2019.
The Orana region covers approximately 25% of NSW, incorporating 12 Local Government Areas (LGAs), from Mudgee in the centre of NSW up to the Queensland border past Bourke and Lightning Ridge and west to Cobar.
The Orana region DAMA is a five year agreement and it is an employer-sponsored visa program and individual workers cannot apply for a visa independently.

The Orana region DAMA includes 73 occupations across multiple industries.
The Orana DAMA utilises the labour agreement stream of the Temporary Skills Shortage visa (TSS subclass 482) and the Employer Nomination Scheme (ENS subclass 186).
A TSS visa holder does not have an age limit, however workers aspiring to access the permanent residence pathway through the ENS must be aware that this has an age limit of 45 years old at time of permanent residence visa application.
