Victorian reports 6 new coronavirus cases on first day of snap lockdown

Victorians are waking up to yet another coronavirus lockdown, which marks the state's fifth since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic and the third this year.

Victoria reported six new locally acquired coronavirus cases on Friday morning as the state awoke to its fifth lockdown of the pandemic.

There were 10 new cases reported on Friday morning, four of which the state had already announced yesterday.

All the cases have been linked to the original outbreak.
