There are warnings young people are becoming the biggest casualties of the coronavirus unemployment crisis following the release of the latest jobs figures.

Prime Minister Scott Morrison says young people have been the worst hit in the latest jobless figures - with more than 311,000 of those aged between 15 and 24 now out of work.

The Australian Bureau of Statistics figures show this group have been heavily impacted by the economic downturn and recession forced by coronavirus shutdowns.
