[Economy Briefing] Kimchi penetrating the Australian major market

In Australia, Korea's fifth-largest exporter of kimchi, kimchi is making inroads into the major market.


As kimchi is considered as healthy food among Australian consumers, recently kimchi is being placed in large supermarket chains and organic food stores in Australia.

Korea's kimchi exports to Australia rose 12 percent compared with 1 year ago and reached to $3.48 million in 2019 with total exports reaching 11.05 tons.
