New Yazidi organisation helps preserve culture and identity

Recently a new Yazidi association by the name of Yazidi House has been founded in Coffs Harbour.


Sami Sheebo, is the current president of the association, he came to Australia as a refugee in 2018. Since his arrival in Australia, he has worked in many fields, one of which is helping refugees who are new to Australia. Mr Sheebo is currently the president of the Yazidi House Australia. We ask him about the purpose of establishing the association, he said, the purpose of it is to protect the cultural heritage, traditions and customs of the Yazidi community in Australia.
