Dr Widad Akreyi is a global human rights leader, author, co-founder, and president of Defend International. She holds a PhD in international health and epidemiology and a Master's in genetics. She has also received humanitarian awards. We talk about the significance of World Refugee Day, the state of refugees, what human rights organisations can do to help refugees, particularly women and girls, and the future of refugees globally.
