Bollywood movie ‘Singham’ is all set to get a Punjabi remake with producer-singer Parmish Verma in the lead role.

In a good news for fans of Punjabi cinema, Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn has announced that his blockbuster film ‘Singham’ will now be remade in Punjabi.

Punjabi singer and producer, Parmish Verma will be seen in the lead role in the movie which is expected to release in 2019.

Other than producing and starring in various Punjabi videos, Verma has also sung chartbusters like ‘Gaal Ni Kadni’ and ‘Shada’.

Verma thanked Ajay Devgn on Twitter for selecting him for the role.
Singham which was originally made in Tamil was later released in Hindi in 2011 with actor Ajay Devgn playing the title role. The larger-than-life action film revolves around the story of an honest cop, ‘Bajirao Singham’ who fights against injustice.

The Punjabi version of the film will be co-produced by Kumar Mangat Pathak and Abhishek Pathak.
