Police have arrested four teenagers who were allegedly involved in an aggravated burglary in Williams Landing in Melbourne's west.

An Indian-origin family was terrorised by four home invaders who then walked away with the family's mobile phones, iPad and a car.

Ritesh Chandan was with his family when the bandits broke in his house in the middle of the night, and he was threatened with physical if he did not compromise.

The police managed to track the stolen car 20 hours later in Point Cook and found four boys, two aged 14, one 15 and one 17, inside.

Patrol cars and a police helicopter followed the vehicle for an hour into the city and intercepted it in Carlton.

Two police vehicles collided with the stolen vehicle before the teenagers were nabbed.

A 15-year-old was injured during his arrest and was taken to hospital with minor injuries, 7 News reported.

No charges have yet been laid.
