Video - Manmeet Alisher’s last rites performed amid tears

Heartbreaking scenes as Manmeet Alisher’s last rites were performed at his native village Alisher near Lehragaga, Sangrur Punjab today.

The last rites of slain Brisbane bus driver Manmeet Alisher were held in his native town of Alisher near Lehragaga, Sangrur Punjab on Friday.

In accordance to religious rituals, the body of Manmeet was cremated at the Shamshan Ghat in Alisher.

Grieving family members and local community gathered in big numbers to pay their condolence and tributes to Manmeet Alisher.

"It is difficult to see the pain and sorrow of the family of Manmeet Alisher, the young Punjabi who lost his life in Australia," said cabinet minister Parminder Singh Dhindsa.
Aam Admi Party representative and Local MP Bhagwant Mann also attended the cremation to pay his tributes.
