Melbourne's Federation square dazzles in pink Diwali lights

The downpour failed to dampen the high spirits of festivity as people gathered in large numbers to experience tradition, culture, dance and bustling food stalls to celebrate the annual Victorian festival of Diwali at Melbourne's iconic Federation Square.


Hear from Victoria's minister for Multicultural Affairs, and Labor party member Ros Spence, City of Melbourne's Deputy Lord Mayor Nicholas Reece, Victoria's Leader of Opposition Matthew Guy and from the members of Punjabi community attending the Victorian Festival of Diwali held on October 29 in support of the National Breast Cancer Foundation Melbourne.
