Silambam gains national recognition in India

Silambam, a martial art developed by ancient Tamils, has been recognised by the Government of India under the ‘Promotion of inclusiveness through sports’ initiative of the ‘Khelo India’ programme.


Kulasegaram Sanchayan brings the story with comments from Mr Shanmuga Sundaram, a veteran Silambam teacher and Muthu Isai Radha, a student of Silambam who has recently won a national award.
