The case of Krishanthi Kumaraswamy, a school girl who was sexually assaulted and murdered by the military personnel in Sri Lanka is the basis for a new book written by Bhagavadas Sriskanthathas, a retired lawyer.

The reader is taken unerringly through the various court procedures: the tendering of evidence, the testimonies of the family’s kin and the confessions of the defendants following the exhumation of the bodies from the pits at Chemmani – until the exact sequence of events, and who committed them, can be irrevocably determined in all their grisly, harrowing detail.

Kulasegaram Sanchayan talks to Bhagavadas Sriskanthathas about his book and what made him write it.
