State and Federal governments have taken steps to ease rental stress from the tenants during COVID-19. The tenant is also protected from eviction in case of non-payment of rent. In New South Wales, for example, a landlord cannot evict tenants for three months due to rent arrears. At the same time the landlord's interests are being taken care of.
