Truth and hype of Cryptocurrency and Bitcoin

Strong interest in bitcoin remains, despite its price recently falling in value. So far this year, the cryptocurrency has been on a downward trend, with some global authorities talking about banning it. But, for some, bitcoin's use goes beyond monetary. Usman Chohan is an economist at UNSW Australia and researcher of Cryptocurrency Accountability. He was included among Australia's 50 Top Thinkers by the Conversation Australia in 2016. Today he is discussing the nature of Bitcoin and Cryptocurrencies, how many there are, why they change in price so much, what is their real value, why they are interesting, and why we must be very careful if we invest in these.
