Parenthood (2) Teaching children from trips

Huyen Trinh and Calum Ludwig decided that their sons Jayden and Liam would leave school to travel around Australia on a van. The trip of more than 40,000 kilometers went through 5 states, 2 territories in one year. Their family did volunteer work, met locals while exploring Australia and enjoying nature that has changed their concept of life forever.

Life of Huyen Trinh and Calum Ludwig will probably flow smoothly like many other families: mom and dad work full-time, play with their children at night for a few hours and then keep working until midnight, kids go to school five days a week. All of a sudden, in a fateful day, Huyen hesitated  whether this is the life that she desire to pursue, what is the meaning of life and is it the best thing she could do for her children?

These questions encouraged Huyen to express her feeling with her husband: "What do you think if our family leaves everything we have in Melbourne and travel around Australia in a year?”. She was over the moon when she found the empathy from Calum.

And their family started a life that they never know what the future holds.
