Adelaide Crows recall Gibbs, Jenkins

AFL clubs Adelaide and Melbourne have both made three changes for their crunch clash in Darwin, with Bryce Gibbs and Josh Jenkins back in favour at the Crows.

Adelaide veterans Bryce Gibbs and Josh Jenkins, out of favour for much of this AFL season, have been recalled.

The Crows have made three changes for Saturday night's clash with Melbourne in Darwin, calling up Gibbs, Jenkins and Tom Lynch in place of Chayce Jones, Riley Knight and Elliott Himmelberg.

The Demons have also made three changes for that game, replacing Harrison Petty (injured), Corey Wagner (omitted) and Jay Lockhart (Injured) with Michael Hibberd, Mitch Hannan and Christian Salem.

Selection intrigue surrounding Gibbs, in his second season with the club after being a high-profile recruit from Carlton, and star forward Jenkins has been one of the talking points of the Crows' season.

Last week, Gibbs was dropped for the second time this season.

Jenkins played the opening four rounds of the season but hasn't been sighted at AFL level since.

The duo were denied a chance to impress last weekend, when the Crows' SANFL outfit had a bye.

Sydney recruit Dan Menzel, Geelong superstar Patrick Dangerfield, Richmond captain Trent Cotchin and Collingwood's Jordan De Goey headline the major inclusions for round 11.

Former Cat Menzel will make his club debut against former teammates in Geelong on Saturday, when Swans veteran Jarrad McVeigh will also return from injury.

The ladder leaders also made two changes, promoting Dangerfield and Esava Ratugolea at the expense of Gary Ablett (suspension) and Darcy Fort (omitted).

The Magpies, who host Fremantle at the MCG on Saturday, have been boosted by the return of De Goey, Darcy Moore and Travis Varcoe.

The Dockers, fresh from an after-the-siren win over Brisbane, opted for an unchanged side.

North Melbourne caretaker coach Rhyce Shaw named an unchanged team for his first match in charge, Friday night's clash with the Tigers at Marvel Stadium.

Richmond recalled Cotchin, Dan Butler and Ivan Soldo while axing Daniel Rioli, Connor Menadue and Callum Coleman-Jones.

The Lions, who host Hawthorn at the Gabba on Saturday night, have recalled Ben Keays, Nick Robertson, Rhys Mathieson and Archie Smith in place of Ryan Lester (injured), Josh Walker (omitted), Mitchell Hinge (omitted), Oscar McInerney (managed).

Isaac Smith and Mitchell Lewis return for the Hawks, replacing Harry Morrison (omitted) and Jack Scrimshaw (injured) in the team that defeated Port Adelaide in round 10.

GWS made one forced change for Saturday's clash with Gold Coast at Giants Stadium, replacing injured youngster Sam Taylor with fellow defender Lachie Keeffe.

Jarrod Harbrow and Ben Ainsworth's injuries have paved the way for George Horlin-Smith and Josh Schoenfeld to return for the Suns.

Western Bulldogs' potential debutant Rhylee West (son of club great Scott), West Coast speedster Lewis Jetta and St Kilda skipper Jarryn Geary are among some of the notable inclusions in Sunday's extended squads.
