Sydney girl Anja Nissen has just performed in the Eurovision grand final for Denmark, sandwiched between the two favourites, Italy and Portugal.

Nissen, a 21-year-old from the Blue Mountains, sang the massive power ballad Where I Am note-perfect in Kyiv, Ukraine as she represented her parents' home country and preceded Australia's entrant, Isaiah Firebrace.

Wearing a long flowing red dress, The Voice Australia winner looked confident performing in front of a 50-second-long waterfall of fireworks, the longest in Eurovision history.
