Big Little Lies' Australian duo Nicole Kidman and Bruna Papandrea have won the coveted outstanding TV mini-series Emmy Award.

Kidman and Papandrea were producers on the seven-part dark comedy based on Sydney author Liane Moriarty's best-selling novel of the same name, earning them and the mini-series' other producers trophies.

The mini-series has proved to be a goldmine for Kidman, who earlier in the ceremony also won the lead actress Emmy.
