Burke knew of Husar's high staff turnover

Senior Labor MP Tony Burke says he was aware of a high turnover of staff in his colleague Emma Husar's office, but not of bullying allegations against her.

Labor frontbencher Tony Burke has revealed he knew about high turnover in embattled backbencher Emma Husar's office some time ago.

Ms Husar has been accused of bullying and harassing her staff, putting a serious cloud over the first-term federal MP's political future.

"I knew sometime ago about the high turnover in her office," Mr Burke told the ABC on Sunday.

The details of a NSW Labor investigation into Ms Husar were published by BuzzFeed News last week.

It includes claims she flashed Labor frontbencher Jason Clare, sexual harassment and diversion of Labor funds into her personal bank account.

Ms Husar has vehemently denied flashing Mr Clare, who described the allegation as categorically untrue.

Mr Burke said he wasn't aware of the details of the allegations until they were reported, noting many of them had been vigorously denied.

"I know all the people involved are good people who have dedicated their professional lives to the Labor Party," Mr Burke said.

"That goes for Emma Husar and it goes for her staff."

Mr Burke wouldn't be drawn on the possibility of Ms Husar remaining in parliament after being disendorsed by Labor as a candidate for the next federal election,

"We will deal with the report when we have a report, and at the moment we don't," he said.

He expects the report to be finalised soon.
