Facts about the Eurovision arena

So many tonnes of lighting and sound equipment has been installed in the Eurovision arena in Stockholm that the building has sunk 35mm.

AUSTRALIA'S EUROVISION SONG CONTEST ENTRANT DAMI IM IS PERFORMING THIS WEEK AT STOCKHOLM'S GLOBE ARENA WHERE:

* 10,500 spectators can be accommodated

* 220 people are involved in broadcasting the Eurovision shows live

* 14km of cable has been laid for the shows and 900 square metres of high resolution LED screens have been installed

* 109 tonnes of lighting and sound equipment has been rigged in the roof space, causing the domed theatre to sink 35mm

* 172 trucks were required to deliver the gear necessary to put on the show

* 1700 lights, 40 cameras and 134 speakers are in place for the event

* Glass-panelled smoking booths have been installed for contestants.
