Mother and daughter Eurovision fans Josephine and DJ Ploughman of Melbourne are parading Stockholm in their home-made Australian flag outfits to support Dami Im in this year's contest.
"We're massive Dami fans and just massive Eurovision fans in general," DJ told AAP in the Swedish capital on Tuesday.
The 28-year-old, who has followed the song contest for 12 years, rates the 2013 X Factor winner's chances as "very high, easily top five, we would love her to win".
"We followed her from X Factor, a favourite TV show of ours, and to follow her on that journey and then see her in a competition that we love has been brilliant."
DJ says Eurovision can be "cheesy" but it unites Europe in a celebration of music and can be enjoyably quirky.
Josephine, 56, says her interest in the song contest "goes back to ABBA time", having seen the group perform in Melbourne in 1977.
She's taken the opportunity to visit the ABBA museum in Stockholm at a time when she can also "be part of history" by attending Eurovision.
In their flag outfits, the mother and daughter are stand-outs in the crowds of flag-waving, costumed fans at the Eurovision events.
"I got the sewing machine out and made them, I'm so glad we got the glitter in there," says DJ.
She says support for Eurovision in Australia "is about "50-50".
"Whereas here everybody loves it, so to be part of that whole environment is fantastic."
The 27-year-old Brisbane-based Im performs her song Sound of Silence in the second semi-final on Wednesday night (Thursday morning AEST) and is well favoured in online polling to get through to the final on Saturday.
She is Australia's second entrant in Eurovision after Guy Sebastian was given a wildcard spot last year, coming fifth with his song Tonight Again.
