International experts will look at ways to boost Victoria's early childhood education system at a forum in Melbourne.

Ways to boost Victoria's early childhood education are set to be explored by international experts in Melbourne.

Norwegian Tove Mogstad Slinde, who advises her government on early childhood issues, is among the speakers expected to join Victoria's Early Childhood Education Minister Jenny Mikakos at Friday's forum.

It's part of a previously announced state government plan to reform the sector, and will bring together experts and practitioners from across the world to look at how Victoria and Australia are tracking globally.
